eSSENCE New Projects 2024, Part 2

The eSSENCE call for proposals n Lund in the autumn of 2024 resulted in seven projects (out of 47 proposals) formally starting 1 January 2024. There will be an opportunity to learn more about these new projects in a series of three sessions held online over Zoom. After the talks, there will be a chance to chat with the speakers and other participants. The programme for the second session is:

- 10.20 Håkan Hallberg (Solid Mechanics) — High-resolution computational modeling of perovskite nanostructures for solar energy applications
- 10.45 Behnaz Pirzamanbein (Statistics) — POLLENOMICS: Decoding the farming history of Europe using advanced statistics to combine ancient DNA with paleo-pollen data
- 11.10 Alexandros Sopasakis (Centre for Mathematical Sciences) — Animating a climate future based on improved CO2 sequestration by monitoring wetlands and forests from satellites
