eSSENCE is a strategic collaborative research programme in e-science between three Swedish universities with a strong tradition of excellent e-science research: Uppsala University, Lund University and Umeå University. e-science promotes innovation in collaborative, computationally or data intensive research across all disciplines. In Uppsala, a number of projects are supported by the programme. Most of them are in computer simulation and data science in biology, chemistry, and physics.
